For any of the French contingent (or visitors to France!) there is another Donkey Fete on the 4th July at Glenic in Dept 23 (just north of Gueret). Lots of driving donkeys again. Then on the 14th July the annual Donkey Day at Arnac-Pompadour (Dept 19) as well as one at Seillac (just west of Tulle, Dept 19) which was started up by some people who were fed up with the Pompadour day being 'diluted' by a lot of non-donkey stuff.

That is the one at Arnac-Pompadour, usually just called Pompadour. Mind you I don't know yet what is at the Seillac fete, we will probably go and have a look this year as if it's no good it's not that far to go on to the one at Pompadour. Two donkey fetes in one day, can't be bad!
